I thought I'd finally do a blog after having this account for.....I think almost two years now. I also thought it would be fun to start with 20 questions. I know this is so teenager on myspace but I have fun with these questionnaires. I think they tell a little about who I am. It's always fun to peak in on someones life. Sometimes I'll randomly ask people, I don't know that well, what they had for dinner. I think it's interesting to hear what people like, what the eat, what they threw away that day, and what they might have on their night stand. So here goes, it may be my only post but at least I'm starting. Oh yea, I stole these questions from another blogger =0)
1. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I remember the very first thing I wanted to be was a policewomen. It was because I watched an episode of Popeye and Olive Oil was a police women and she was so pretty. I remember I thought it was so cool that her billy club was a lipstick tube on the end.
2. What have you done in the past week to help someone else?
I let my brother borrow some money.
3. Who is the best-dressed person you know?
My sister-in-law Ashley
4. What is on your nightstand?
A lamp, a little fan, my lit book, a planner, tums, lotion, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, I've been putting that book off since Christmas, a small book light, a bottle of water and a binky for my son, just in case.
5. If you were a cat, what kind of a cat would you be?
I'd be the fat, lazy, lay around all day, don't mess with me cause I'm always cranky, and whatever you do don't pet my stomach cat.
6. If you lived in a house surrounded by acres of trees, what particular type of tree would you want flourishing on your land?
Peach trees, apple trees, pecan trees, I like food. I also like these pretty purple looking trees that I use to see all the time when I lived in D.C. I have no idea what they were called but they were so pretty.
7. What do you find to be very overrated?
twilight, people who don't have their own opinions they just regurgitate things they hear without doing their own research, giggly teenage girls, high school musical, Hanna Montana, and Barack Obama. He's the most over rated thing on my list.
8. How many email addresses do you have?
Three, one personal, one for junk, one for school.
9. Have you ever felt replaced?
Yes.
10. Would you rather watch football or baseball?
I'm not sure this is a hard one I like them both and I could watch either. I guess I'd have to go with football when I think about it though. I like college football, it's a southern thing.
11. What is the wallpaper on your phone?
The nightmare before Christmas.
12. Name a lyric from the song you're listening to.
I've been listening to 80's music recently. What's been stuck in my head for the past few days is, Every rose has its thorn Just like every night has its dawn Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song Every rose has its thorn.
13. Do you use a feed reader?
I'm not sure. I just found out what the definition of a feed reader is but I'm still not clear on it. If anyone out there knows let me know and give me an example. I'm assuming if I don't know then I'm not using one, lol.
14. What chocolate do you always leave in the box?
The ones with cream in them. I actually only eat a few of them. The ones with nuts, the ones with cherries and the plain ones. Sometimes I eat the Carmel ones.
15. What would you do if you found out your ex is engaged?
I'd feel sorry for the girl. I'm not kidding, my ex has some very serious issues, that's why he's still single. Most of my exes are married now but there's that one, that poor guy. He wants to be married but he has no clue how to treat a woman. The funny thing is he thinks he understands women but the only thing he understands is what to say to make them weak in the knees after that he has no clue. He doesn't understand why they act a certain way or why they always seem to go crazy on him......it's him.
16. Do words hurt you?
Oh yeah, I'm very insecure and sensitive. I try hard not to let it bother me but I can't help it. I want everyone to like me and not look at just my outside. I might be over weight and disabled but that's not who I am that's just what I am. I'm smart and witty and adventurous. I wish people wouldn't always jump to conclusions when they look at me and would take the time to get to know me.
17. Are you a talker or a listener?
I try to be a good listener but I know I talk a lot too. I always have an opinion about something and I think everyone wants to hear it, lol. Man, I can talk your head off and so fast you'll have no clue what I just said. I like to be heard. When it really counts I'm a good listener though. You can't count on me to be there for you if you need someone to talk to.
18. Have you ever walked on the beach at night?
I live in Florida so yes. It use to be my favorite thing to do. Sometimes I would go with boyfriends, sometimes I would go with a group of friends. It's amazing at night, it was really the only time I ever went to the beach. My husband proposed to me on a beach at night. Some nights I have the urge to just go to the beach and walk. I live about 30 minutes from it now but when the moon and air is right and when it smells good outside I want to go to the beach and walk around. I'd love to take my son to the beach at night and let him run around. I cant' walk on the beach anymore though. Since I became disabled I can't walk on soft uneven surfaces. It breaks my heart so much sometimes I get teary eyed. I tried to last year after my brothers wedding to go down to the beach and hang out but it took me 15 minutes to get down there and it upset me so bad. I just didn't understand why I couldn't just go and walk like everyone else. I end up having to crawl most of the way back. It was embarrassing but at least I got to see the beach at night again.
19. Who is your favorite professional athlete?
I don't follow sports closely enough to have one......wait yes I do have one. Ben Crane. He's a professional golfer. Last year we were invited down to the TPC to meet some of the golfers by a program my son is involved in for kids with life threatening illnesses. Ben came right over and took to my son. He was great with him and didn't want to give him up for the other golfers to meet him, lol. When I looked a little further into his career I realized he's a great man. He and his sponsors donate to kids. I look forward to seeing him again this year at the TPC.
20. Which TV show have you seen pretty much every episode of?
Ghost Whisperer, Sex in the city (I hate admitting to that one), and Medium
